H A P P Y N E W Y E A R ! ! !

welp, after several really long sleeps, i'm finally back to normal. and my tale of vegas begins.

so to get the most asked question outta the way, yes, i am up. won $60 in black jack, but lost $5.75 in slots (i actually was up $2.25, but i decided that if i don't make over $20, it wasn't worth it).

to view the videos, you'll need to d/l divx 5.2.1 if u dont already have it. i've reencoded my video files @ 500kbps, which although degraded some quality, but not too noticable.

for those who own canon digicams, did u ever know what those .thm files that come with every video file are? at first i thought they were just some movie indicating file or some processing file that the digicam used during the recording of the video, but it turns out that they're actually small jpgs. if u rename them to .jpg files, it actually displays. the .thm file actually are the thumbnails of the video for the camera to display during previews. which i sorta found neat and am using them as the link to video atm.

one of the major themes during our vegas trip was suei jai remix. the band's known as round ruckus and u can get ahold of their music here: round ruckus is 5354. (5354 in cantonese means naughty/not serious)

so let the stories begin!

day 1: we were supposed to meet @ 10am @ glendia's place. i was 10mins late, but managed to be the 2nd person to arrive. mmouse on the other hand wasn't ready till like 11am and was surprised that everyone was actually on time today. we went off to lee's sandwiches to get lunch for the road. half way to vegas, i needed to pee and dng need to fill up on gas. we decided to exit on the next gas stop. turns out we entered a population of 12 city. just our party double their population size. the gas prices was absurd @ $2.99. we decided to use their restrooms anyway (which turned out to not have any faucets for washing our hands). we hit bakers next. gas prices were still high, but not as unreasonable @ $2.40. we past by some alien jerky place which phatfreeza really wanted to stop by but was DENIED by lilsneezy. later we found out on some billboard they were actually giving out FREE SAMPLES! we finally reached las vegas shortly after 4 and lilsneezy checked in. we entered the apt and it was amazing! (you can see the pix; words just can't describe it) it even comes w/ a fireplace! too bad there was a sign that said not to put any combustible items inside. so we took the shuttle to monte carlo and attempted to get to dinner @ ellis island. supposedly had $4.99 steak dinner. turns out to be a small restaurant @ the corner of a small casino and the wait time was 1.5hrs. we gave up and had dinner @ sbarro instead. on our way, we past by the lion's den and the time we past by was coincidentally feeding time, which was nice! too bad, the lion didn't attack anyone. during the ride on the monorail, lilsneezy pointed out that there was blood on my hands. i had no idea when it started to bleed, but my inside of my jacket had blood stains. my entire index finger was covered in blood. i think the blood was mine... after dinner, my stomach began to rumble and i was in pain, major pain. to relief the pain temporarily, i had to fart or burp. i blame it on sbarro's spaghetti. we then hit paris and some ppl went to gamble (my first few $ went into their slot machines) we walked around some more and took more pix. we finally got tired enough and we headed back to the apt @ 1am and after showering, we played speed scrabble (introduced to us by lilsneezy). to play speed scrabble, you don't need a board. everyone first takes 7 tiles and the first person/group to finish making words from the 7 tiles yells PONG (like mahjong) and everyone takes 1 more tile. the 1st person/group to finish making words w/ all their tiles is announced the winner. mmouse and i won twice, but lilsneezy and glendia managed to win 3 or 4 times. at this point, everyone was tired, and we all went to bed.
