just watched Colour of the Truth (Can: Hark Bat Sum Lum/Lit: Black White Forest). it's a great movie, a new HK summer hit and if you've watched Infernal Affairs, just wanted to let you know everyone's comparing these 2 movies. I've seen many ppl from both sides. I personally liked Infernal Affairs better, but my dad liked Colour of the Truth better. Welp, here's the trailer if you want to see what it's like: Colour of the Truth - Trailer (32MB)

a few days ago, my sister showed me this tool:

[00:51] <@Krunk> would that be called a knoon or a spife?
[00:51] <@Kharizma> spoon knife?????
[00:51] <@Kharizma> they make those?
[00:51] <@Krunk> yep
[00:51] <@Kharizma> oooooh
[00:51] <@Kharizma> like a spoon with a jagged edge right?
[00:52] <@Krunk> tyep
[00:52] <@Kharizma> i would call if a spife =P the spelling is more intuitive
[00:52] <+mista> what about a knifoon
[00:52] <@Kharizma> that's like... a knife X platoon
[00:53] <+mista> whats wrong with knifoon
[00:53] <+mista> why cant it have a knife as its most important feature
[00:53] <+mista> thus its given priority
[00:53] <@Kharizma> well b/c a spoon x fork is a "spork"... so it leads to spoon x knife = "spife"
[00:54] <+mista> who is to say that spoon has a priority just because it was in a different product
[00:54] <+mista> are you saying that due to a repetitive history that it should be called a spife?
[00:55] <+mista> but because we see repetitions in different objects doesnt mean we can associate it with other things
[00:55] <@Kharizma> yes
[00:56] <+mista> but its a theory
[00:56] <+mista> not a law
[00:56] <+mista> just because it repeats doesnt mean it HAS to occur
[00:56] <@Krunk> http://www.krunk4ever.com/0803_files/spife.jpg
[00:57] <+mista> that would be a very messy knifoon
[00:57] <@Kharizma> dont read too much into it patrick =P
[00:58] <HKenshin> dude how would you hold that without cutting yourslef
[00:59] <+mista> how would you use both ends eithout being messy
[00:59] <@Kharizma> very carefully, hk
[01:00] <@Krunk> hehe
[01:00] <@Krunk> *shrug*
[01:00] <@Kharizma> i thought the knife edge was on the spoon part itself
[01:00] <+mista> yea and cut your tongue
[01:00] <ise> this is all too profound
[01:00] <ise> back to ro
[01:00] <@Kharizma> the knife isnt uber sharp though

got this advertisement off bittorrent: John West Red Salmon. most of you probably have seen this already, but it's freaken hilarious.

anyone remember farrsics? got this quote from a joke email: "A little inaccuracy sometimes saves a ton of explanation." - H. H. Munro (Saki); so true, so true.

thanks for panzer for donating this article: Power from blood could lead to 'human batteries'. very matrix-like. *shivers*

stupid sony. stupid netmd player. sony's netmd players have got to be one of the worse ever to have when you can't find the included cd! first, i was missing their cable. thank god that wasn't proprietary and i had a spare usb -> usb mini. however, neither their drivers nor software are available online. must use the original cd. took me 30mins on google to try to locate a driver that works only to find out to copy songs, i needed the software. sony only provides updates/patches to their software. grrrrr, now i'm searching for the software and hopefully this thing i'm downloading will work. welp. guess what, the software won't even detect my netmd player. let's rewind for a bit, supposedly real player is able to move music onto my netmd player. i installed the plugin for it, but it said i needed OpenMG (software which i was trying to find). d/led OpenMG and the stupid software as i said won't even detect my NetMD player. about to give up, i gave realplayer one last shot and KABING! it worked! sigh...

welp, this will be my last post before i return from vacation. also, in case of urgent business... well, you're pretty much on your own. g'luck and bon voyage! (^_^x)
